HTC Cruise - Another iphone killer?


HTC is a korean company that has been famous for its windows mobiles. Their last offering the HTC Diamond began its sales in India and then started to come in other markets including United States of America. HTC Diamond was sold excusively through Airtel Markets. It was a touch enabled phone with Windows mobile as the operating system. It also had the touch Flo technology similar to the iphone but not in the implementation. It was a great smart phone. Now HTC has launched the HTC Touch Cruise, A touch phone with great features just like its predeccessors. This handset looks stylish and has great features. It has a 2.8 inch screen with Touch Flo technology. Also it uses the windows Mobile 6.0 which is great news for business users.It comes preinstalled with Tom Tom GPS Navigation system which can used in selected places. It has a 3Mp camera in the back and a VGA camera in the front for Video Calling. All in all it is a Great Phone. It is however priced at Rs.33000 which is a little expensive for this phone. I give this phone 3.5 out of 5 considering its high price and great features.

Only a few years ago India got known to the world of Wifi. Even today
we don't have enough Wifi hotspots in our country.well the obvious
reasons for this situation is that no one wants to give free internet in
the country.As we are slowly switching to Wifi, United States Of
Americahas again come up with another good technology,The Wimax.
Wimax does not differ from wifi in many areas but is easy to install and
costs less thanwifi. That means good to us as we adapt to cheaper
technologies than the expensive ones. Why I stress so much on Wimax?
Well as wimax has been eshtablished to a decent extent in america, a
phone has also been released to support wimax. Well it is none other
than the nokia N810. nokia n810 was initially released in USA to
support wifi. This is just another phone with decent featueres. It has a
whopping 4.1 inch screen,a qwerty keyboard and a navigation wheel,
a VGA camera to support blogging besides other ordinary featues of
today's phones. Well that sounds great doesn't that? Hope this phone
atleast releases in india. Most probably it will release by the end of this
year in India. Why do I say that? Well the reason I say that is because
Wimax is going to hit India in a huge way in coming months courtesy
Tata. Tata is all set to launch the Tata Wimax in India as early as
September,2008 which is great news for Internet surfers. Though Wifi
didn't find great support in India, Wimax will surely find its feet in India.

The recent news from China Network Information Centre is that China not only has the world's largest popultion but also the largest number of Internet surfers in the world.Estimates say that there are atleast 221 million surfers in China, thus overtaking USA in Internet Traffic. But the bad news for China is that the ratio of Internet Users to the population in China of 16 percent is less than the Global average of 19 percent. But the biggest problem of the chinese surfers are restrictions to almost 30 ercent of the World Wide Web. This figure is not exaggerated and is the truth in the land of Sang Kyi. If not in other areas, we must appreciate the Indian Government for not blocking any domains and allowing the people to choose their own content which is really satisfactory.

Hey dudes, yesterday we had a watch at the Android OS. Hope everyone of you liked it? From the free operating ,let's switch to the revolutionary operating system Microsoft windows XP.Last month microsoft Chief executive Officer,Steve Ballmer said that the sales and shipping of Windows XP could continue even after June 30,2008. This follows an earlier statement of Ballmer which said that the sales and shipping of Windows XP could be stoped after June 30,2008 due ho the high sales of the next Generation Operating System of Microsoft, thw windows Vista. However, the latest update from Ballmer has confirmed reports that the sales of Vista has decreased rapidly in months. Also Experts say that many people did not find updating to the latest windows offering as essential as windows Vista has a lot of problems including compatibility with old harware drivers and of course it invoves a lot of cost. Like experts, have common man also decided that XP is better than Vista is the question that needs to be asked to Microsoft executives? The biggest factor that has reduced the sales of Vista is the announcement from Microsoft that it would release the next Generation operating system windows 7 next year which has made people to wait for the next Offering from Microsoft rather than the latest offering "Vista".

Nokia N81 Review

Today we are going to review the latest offering from the world of Nokia the N81. Well to start with this was an update of Nokia N80 which was released in U.S. Not in India. It has almost all the features that you can name including a 2MP camera with video recording, advanced GPS Module, Wifi, 3G, Highly functional music player and what not! Well this phone is a slider and has eight buttons on the top and a key pad down the front module. It has a navigation wheel introduced by Nokia for the first time in a phone. Well for all those apple fans and almost all geeks this wheel will be the first disappointment. Apart from the navigation wheel the other big minus for the phone is its slow processor and a bad battery manager. Well this phone comes with two versions of inbuilt memory either the 1GB or the 8GB is available with the phone.Well I would suggest you to not to try the 8GB version for a simple reason that the 8GB version gets stuck up very too often. Other I dont find any other reason why U shouldn't try the 8GB version. Well to start with the pluses, the biggest plus of the phone is its music Functionality. Well for starters this phone sounds great, simply superb. The other biggest plus is the camera a nice camera with all the features that you have in a camera cell phone. Well all the other featues are excellent and I would suggest this phone if you do not mind the navigation wheel. I would give this phone 3 out of 5 and a thumbs down for the funcionality.

The new iPhone 3g

It's hot news here in Macworld conference.You must all have seen through you news channels that the new iPhone 3g is faster,better and most importantly cheaper. Well it has come as a big surprise to all the gadget gurus that the iPhone has reduced its price by almost half which is great news for all the people out there.Imagine the new iphone 3g just costing around Rs. 9000 plus in the Indian market. According to Steve Jobs, the biggest competitors of the new iPhone are nokia n95 and the palm treo which are again great products. But compare the price of the latest iphone with that of the other such products. Nokia n95 costs around Rs.28000 while the palm treo costs around Rs.23000. The iphone just costs something around Rs.10000. Isn't that great? When did last see a wi-fi and 3g enabled phone selling for Rs.10000 or less. When did you last see a phone with a 3 inch screen that was sold for Rs.10000 or less. well doesn't that sound great? It's great news isn't it?
How many phones have created a wave in the mobile industry? may be one or two. How many phones have created a thunder in the industry? none other than the iphone. The new iphone has all the features that the predeccessor had. The first version did not have a very good camera. Infact it couldn't record videos. That was a great minus in the first version. But now the new iphone has a better camera with flash and also has video recording capabilities. That sounds sugar.
Well the other big dropout in the first version was that it lacked 3G capabilities which is again a great minus. Though we dont have 3g facilities in India, they are bound to come to India soon.But now the new iphone has 3g capabilities.
How many phones in the market have 8GB of internal storage? Well very few come with 8Gb of internal storage. The only ones that I remember are nokia n95 ,nokia n81,nokia n810 and Sony ericcson w960i. But they cost higher than the iphone.
The next big thing about the iphone is the interface which is simply superb. I can't think of anything better. can you just say one phone which has a better interface than the iphone. You definitely cannot. The simple reason is that the iphone has a revolutionary interface. It will take another two years for bigies like nokia and motorola to come up with such a interface. What an interface the iphone has?
The new iphone has even Advanced GPS system which is great news for business people. All in all the iphone has great features to make it big in the market. All the best iphone!!!
